**Purpose of this step**\
The in-home appointment exists to gather accurate information about the home and understand the homeowner’s goals.\
No decisions are required during this visit.

**Who typically attends**\
The appointment is conducted by a Cupcake project consultant and the homeowner(s).\
Whenever possible, all homeowners involved in decision-making are encouraged to attend so questions and priorities can be addressed directly.

**What is discussed**\
During the appointment, the following topics are typically covered:

* The homeowner’s concerns, priorities, and timeline
* Observed conditions inside and outside the home
* How different service paths may apply to the situation
* Any known constraints (budget range, timing, occupancy)

The conversation is two-way and informational.

* No commitment is required
* No same-day decision is expected
* No pressure is applied to move forward

If additional analysis or documentation is needed, it occurs after the visit.

**Typical duration**\
Most in-home appointments last between 60 and 120 minutes, depending on:

Time is taken as needed to complete a proper evaluation.
